All I can tell you is that it’s on an island.
Just before walking up on this, I spooked a family of turkeys.
Two adults and at least 10 young ones.
Which means they are living on this island.
Nearby I found a stack of unfinished wood.
I think this was built onsite with driftwood out of the river.
The no trespassing signs all over the place are to be taken seriously.
Depending on the mood of the owner, a trespasser will either be arrested or shot.
At least shot at.
Except for me. I have permission to be here.

24 Aug 2014looks like a nice bed for having marvelous, exciting sex on an unusual bed (bring your own comforter, air mattress and bug spray) in an unusual place. The Turkeys are already on the case for that. What do turkeys eat in the wild? I’ve no idea.

25 Aug 2014You’ve walked past this island with me Bob. I’ll give you a tour next time, maybe we can meet the owner and you can get permission. Then you just have to convince someone to join you. Nearby there’s also a toilet and a makeshift shower. No joke.
I think a big roll of mosquito netting is in order.

25 Aug 2014Considering the 10 or so little ones running along, I think somebody had some fun a few months ago Jim. I know the owner allows waterfowl hunting from the island. I wonder if he wants to get rid of a turkey or two. There’s deer that wander around here too. This place would make a good base camp.

25 Aug 2014The Fox has been brutally slow for me Chuck and I haven’t even bothered getting out in this higher water. Septembers got to be better, right?
