Reminds me of the giant snails I found in Germany many years ago. Slowest screw in the universe. Unfortunately I did find human animals in the rut one time while steelhead fishing. Prettiest thing about it was the mud.
25 years ago my back went out on me big time. Wound up on my back for a good month. One day I was watching an Animal Planet type show on WTTW. For some reason all they kept showing was a variety of animals mating. Then, the climax 🙂 of the show was a couple of slugs mating.
That put me over the top. It took me another 30 days, but I was determined to walk and never, ever watch that show again.

6 May 2012I have a small collection of photos of things mating in the wild. Not sure what that says about me standing around taking the photos.
Thankfully, haven’t come across any human animals mating while out there wandering.
