Baby it’s cold outside and I don’t see any point in going out there.
Except to jump the wife’s car.
Later.
Fun.
The view from the kitchen.
January 6, 2014 – 11:00 AM – weather channel says -14, feels like -41.
Seems about right.
Sun without warmth is extremely disconcerting.

6 Jan 2014On a warmer day was that you that made the front page of the Record? I am happy that I still may run into you on the Fox and of course, Blackberry. Glad you could stay in the neighborhood. I was returning down River Rd at 6:30 am when I saw the power line go down with a big explosion in the snow. Fortunately, Com Ed was on it right away so we only lost about 5 degrees in the house. I applaud those guys for getting out in this cold weather. Very glad that I got most of my plowing done yesterday. Stay warm! Dick

6 Jan 2014I saw that photo Dick, nope, not me. I considered going out on the 50 degree day, but common sense got the better of me. I can wait till March and we’ll go. Later in the year I’ll show you the Montgomery stretch.
It got to 63 in the house before the power came back on. Didn’t notice till I felt the cold creeping through the blankets.
Took an hour and a half to get the wife’s car running. Mine, the power steering unit I just had replaced less than a month ago blew out again. Cars hate me. Went for a drive to get the wife’s car warm and did the loop around the river past Silver Springs. Not good road conditions, that’s for sure.

18 Jan 2014I’m about 3 quarts low. On fishin, that is. The ice is off the IL and I might try to get down before next subzero
Got about 40 Perch at 87th St in Lake M. Tough getting there and getting thru the ice.
Can’t wait til spring. Dick

18 Jan 2014You’re a braver man than I Dick.
Hopefully we’ll have some 50 degree days in February. Then I’ll go and my wife will be happy…
