Sunset in the neighborhood.
You take what you can get.
Or, you take what you got.
I live a short block from some busy railroad tracks.
Tiki the Bitch Queen likes to go for extended evening walks along the tracks.
Lots of fresh and new smells I guess.
She can shit where she wants and neither of us give it much thought.
Sunsets are more urban, more industrial, but I grew up that way a long time ago.
I guess back then I was an inner city kid.
Punk kids, I recall being called.
There are some things you’re perpetually used to.
Urban sunsets are one of those.
It’s no longer what I want, what I prefer.
But, you take what you can get.
Or, you take what you got.

9 Sep 2014I have a chair on the west side of the house, if not out walking the streets I sit and watch the sky change. Wires, roofs, a nearby warehouse… the sky don’t know the difference.

9 Sep 2014I sense a change, but I agree with Bob. Sunrises and Sunsets are significant. One says you made it another day, the other says you made it another day.

9 Sep 2014That was kind of the point of that little thing I did on not understanding suicide Howard. I made it another day and I got to see another sunset. The surroundings may not have been ideal, but the sky was wonderful. I can’t imagine intentionally missing them.
