Are you listening
In the lane
Snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We’re happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland
Gone away, is the bluebird
Here to stay, is a new bird
He sings a love song,
As we go along
Walking in a winter wonderland
In the meadow we can build a snowman
And pretend that he is Parson Brown
He’ll say are you married
We’ll say No Man
But you can do the job
When you’re in town
Later on
We’ll conspire
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid
The plans that we’ve made
Walking in a winter wonderland
Sleigh bells ring
Are you listening
In the lane
Snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We’re happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland
Gone away, is the bluebird
Here to stay, is a new bird
He’s singing a song
As we go along
Walking in a winter wonderland
In the meadow we can build a snowman
And pretend that he’s a circus clown
We’ll have lots of fun with Mr. Snowman
Until the other kiddies knock him down
When it snows
Ain’t it thrilling
Though your nose, is a chilling
We’ll frolic and play, the Eskimo way
Walking in a winter wonderland

19 Jan 2015Ha! I’ve got the feeling that there was a little sarcasm connected in making this post. Well, the photo quality is good…

19 Jan 2015You would be correct Howard. I’ve had this idea in my head since before Christmas, but we really haven’t had much snow so far this season. Then I had to wait for it to get that perfect urban black layer to it.
Grabbed the camera and walked around the neighborhood yesterday with this song playing in my head. What surprised me was the lack of snowmen. And that last shot I like, but it didn’t fit anywhere, so I just threw it up there.
My favorite is the reindeer logs. They got that “What, me worry?” look about them.
