A few years ago I guided a guy and his wife out on a creek. He was on a quest to catch fish on a fly rod from all 50 states in 50 weeks. I had pretty much forgot about this until I got a phone call today telling me my complimentary book is on its way. I guess I’m in the book because I helped him catch a fish here in Illinois. I remember it being the worst possible high water conditions, but creeks always produce.
I hope he was kind to me. Looking forward to getting and reading the book.

4 Jan 2011I still don’t have it. Contacted them and apparently some have been returned due to post office stupidity. I should have it this week. I was told Ken Niles did a nice write up on our outing and I look like a handsome man based on the photo. I had to laugh at that one.
